Cindy Swanson Wilcox was born April 24, 1949 in Tulsa to Bill and Barbara (Leonard) Swanson. She passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024 in Tulsa at the age of 75.
Cindy graduated from Edison High School in 1967. She then attended the University of Oklahoma where she joined Chi Omega Sorority. Cindy then transferred to The University of Tulsa where she graduated with a degree in Education.
After graduation, Cindy married Frank Wilcox in 1973. They had 2 children, Chad and Tyler. She went on to become an Interior Designer after helping many friends and family. She realized Interior Design was her passion and that is when she started CSW Designs.
Cindy had an extraordinary gift for transforming any space into something magical. Known for her impeccable sense of style, she could set a Holiday table that would take your breath away. Christmas was her favorite time of year and her Holiday tables were legendary, a blend of elegance, festivity, and warmth that made everyone feel cherished and at home. Likewise, Cindy always loved Tennis and Bridge as her pastime. She loved her friends and family more than anything and would do anything for them. She will be missed so much.
Cindy is survived by her husband of 50 years, Frank; her children, Chad and Tyler; and her three grandchildren, all of Tulsa; and her sister, Susan Swanson. She was preceded in death by a two-month-old son, Ryan; her parents, Bill and Barbara Swanson, and her grandmother, Della Leonard.

I was very sad to learn of Cindy’s passing. Cindy was my Chi Omega “Little Sis” at OU and I adored her. She served at the guest book at my wedding to my longtime boyfriend Don Humphreys in 1970. Q: How did you meet Cynthia? A: Cindy and I met thru our social club Eclat in the 9th grade and were friends since then. We had the same teacher in our high school and was just before lunch break so we always had lunch together either at her house or mine or McDonald's!! She made me laugh all the time with her quick wit and bubbly energy. A couple of years ago she was so sweet to open her home to Rhonda Boswell and me for a high school reunion we were attending. She couldn't do enough for us and we had a great time. I was hoping to see her again this fall and was so saddened to hear of her passing. We had just written on social media a few days before. Cindy I'll always remember you with your bright spirit and vivacious character! Rest in Peace my dear friend!!🙏❤️
