Obituary
Christopher Eugene Weldy was born on December 24, 1948 in Kansas City, MO and passed away on April 21, 2020 in Tulsa at the age of 71.
He grew up in Tulsa, graduated from Edison High School in 1967 and went on to the University of Arkansas. His career was in the cell phone industry and he lived in Oklahoma, Louisiana and Florida. He loved living on the water in the panhandle of Florida and taking his friends out on his boat fishing. He was a funny, generous and caring guy who never met a stranger. He had a kind word for everyone and everyone who knew him loved him.
He is survived by his sister, Linda Weldy Norman. He will be greatly missed.

Chris was a part of my life for 43 years. It’s hard to sum it up in just a few words. He was funny he loved food and I loved cooking for him.He was incredibly smart. Most of all he was a member of my family. He was one of the few men that was an uncle to my sons not by blood but just by love. His laugh was contagious. I will truly miss the hours of conversations that he would engage in. He was truly a friend and always willing to lend a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen with. He loved adventures and he had many during his lifetime a few I got to share with him. I love you my man and you will be missed but never forgotten

Chris was a wonderful guy! He and I shared many hours sailing off the coast of Florida which was one of his favorite places in the world, along the panhandle of Florida. My son remembers him so fondly for teaching him two of life‘s greatest achievements: how to fish, and how to play poker.
