Chelinda Fields

Chelinda Kay (King) Fields was born August 21, 1963 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Charles Edward Adams and Gloria Jean Galloway and passed from this life on September 3, 2011 at the age of 48.

Chelinda was a radiant sole; she never met a stranger. Chelinda loved her gospel music and loved to sing. She enjoyed family and friends. She loved bribing children with sugary treats in exchange for her infamous foot and back massages.

Preceded in death by her brother, Michael Trotter; her father, Charles Adams; her Uncle, Scott Buyckes; and great grandparents and slew of great uncles and aunts; Chelinda is survived by her mother, Gloria Galloway; grandparents Marveline and Wesley Elam, husband, Darrell King; daughters, Melisha Hay, Ashley Blackford and Marvejean Fields; her son, Djuan Overton; her sisters, Kia Banks, Latoya Adams; her brothers, Francisco Trotter and Charles Adams Jr.; her nephew, Michael Trotter; her grandchildren, Robert, Damarius, Carolyn & Deandre Hay, Riley & Kaycee Blackford, Braelon Colbert, Donnie Littrell Jr, Andrae II & Andrae III Dabiri and Lyric Overton. And a host of family and friend.

Chelinda will lie in state 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. Her funeral will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Praise Center Family Church, 608 E. Apache, Tulsa, OK. She will be laid to rest at the Green Acres Cemetery, Skiatook, OK.
