Charles Wayne Young, 84, died on Monday, December 15, 2008 at the St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born September 2, 1924 in Coalgate, Oklahoma the son of Charles and Stella Mable (Rhyne) Young. He served our country during World War II in the U.S. Navy. While in the service of our country he married Gloyd Geraldine Brown on December 5, 1945 in Porterville, California. They have made their home in Tulsa, OK for many years where he retired from Loveless Manufacturing where he was a machinist. He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Wayne Young on December 11, 1997. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Gloyd; his sons: Raymond Lee Young and his wife Karen of Tulsa and Paul David Young and his wife Linda of Glenpool; his brothers: Billy Young of Tulsa and James Albert Young of Savannah, OK; Seven Grandchildren and Six Great Grandchildren. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Ninde Woodland Chapel with interment to follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Randy Deams will officiate.
