Obituary
Charles Ross Dunbar was born on March 31, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY to Charles Alexander Dunbar and Elizabeth Madeline (Summers) Dunbar. Charles passed away in Tulsa on July 22, 2017 at the age of 87. In 2013 Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Marye. He is survived by his stepdaughter, Cherri Fustino; granddaughter, Tara Kim Krieg; great granddaughter, Cara White (to whom he devoted his life); and niece, Deborah Turner, all of whom he loved and who loved him.
Charles had worked in social work most of his life; taught classes at Oklahoma University and was even voted Tulsa Man of The Year in the early 80’s. He was a gentle, caring man who devoted his life to helping his family and others. He had a kind heart and was never known to speak harshly of others. May he rest with his beloved wife, Marye. He will always be missed and never forgotten.

I will always remember, Mr. Dunbar ( this was what I called him back then). My husband and I were so blessed to have known him, he helped with the adoption of our two girls. After 56 years, I would have known his name. Why that name as so in graved in my mind as helping us with the adoption. Thanks to him thanks to him thanks to him. He made my life and family so complete. My prayers are with you and your family. God bless to all.
