Charles M. Goddard

Charles Mack Goddard was born on April 28, 1934 in Hasty, AR to Charles Edmond Goddard and Una May (Norrid) Goddard. Charlie passed from this life surrounded by family at his home in Jenks, OK on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the age of 80.

Charlie retired from the Tulsa Police Department after serving 20 years on the force from 1960 to 1980. He then went to serve with the Jenks Campus Police Department for 12 years until his final retirement. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

He and Louise (Plaster) Goddard were married on June 23, 1953 and were longtime members of the Jenks Church of Christ. Charlie was a member of the Tulsa Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #93.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Deloris Orwig, Anne Yeager and Frances Jones and brothers, Leon Goddard and Bobby Wayne Goddard, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Louise of the home; 3 sons, Charles “Butch” Goddard, Jr. and his wife, Robbye, of Tulsa, Eddie Goddard and his wife, Mava of Sapulpa and Duston “Dusty” Goddard and his wife, Sundi, of Jenks; 6 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 11 step great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and a sister, Pat Gardner.

Service 10:00 A.M. Friday Jenks Church of Christ and burial with police honors in Memorial Park Cemetery.
