Obituary
Bacon, Cecil E., 93, died Saturday. Cecil was born August 8, 1913 in Shirley, Arkansas to his parents John William & Dovie (Satterfield) Baker. He left his scholastic pursuit to defend his nation in World War II and again in the Korean War. Upon returning stateside Cecil went to work for Flint Steel Corporation where he labored for over thirty years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Vesta Bacon, in September of 2006 and his son Danny Bacon in February of 2006. He is survived by his son Paul Bacon of Broken Arrow, ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Cecil loved the outdoors, gardening, and his family. His legacy will live on throughout their lifetimes. Services will be held Wednesday at Faith Temple Assembly of God, 9400 E. 131st Street in Bixby, Oklahoma with final interment at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens. Ninde Woodland.
