Catherine Simons

Catherine "Cathy" Eileen (Butler) Simons was born October 26, 1949 in Tulsa, OK to Marion Buford & Eileen May (Nichols) Butler and passed from this life on December 11, 2012 at the age of 63.

Cathy was a devoted mother, grandmother and member of Southminster Presbyterian Church, where she has, over the years, been active in many social groups, a deacon, an elder, served on nominating committees, organized many meals and loved singing in the choir. Her family and friends meant everything to her and she will best be remembered for her giving spirit, big, friendly smile, and joyful laugh, which always came easily and honestly, as well as her Christmas rum cakes.

Cathy is preceded in death by her parents; her son-in-law, Clayton Fraser; and her nephew, Jarod Sheffield. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Whitney Fraser and Stephanie & Brad Jordan; her sons, Tim Simons and Tom Simons; her sister and brother-in-law, Martha & Stan Sheffield; her niece, Candice Sheffield; 5 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Day Center for the Homeless 415 W Archer St, Tulsa, OK 74103. A memorial service will be held at Southminster Presbyterian Church at a later date.
