Obituary
Carolyn (Braunlich) McDuffie was born October 10, 1926 in Tulsa, OK to Frank H. & Ollie (Graves) Braunlich and passed from this life surrounded by family on February 12, 2016 at the age of 89.
Carolyn grew up in Okmulgee, OK then moved to Tulsa, OK attending Will Rogers High School and the University of Tulsa. She worked for the Fizz-O Water Company where she manned the front desk, did the company books and gave herself tirelessly to the success of the company. She retired after 25 years of service. She was an active member of Asbury United Methodist Church and was a part of the Singing Ambassadors. In her retirement she gave herself completely to her family. She was a wife, grandmother, great grandmother and beloved friend. She enjoyed doing so many things with her family including antiquing, game nights, gardening, traveling and scrap booking.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband 57 years, Robert Neill McDuffie, Sr.; her sons, Phillip Scott McDuffie and Robert N. McDuffie, Jr.; and her brother, Frank H. Braunlich. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy McDuffie; her son, Douglas L. McDuffie and his wife Deborah; her grandsons, Duncan McDuffie, Dashiell McDuffie and Sean McDuffie and his wife Shawna; and her great grandson, Max.
Carolyn will lie in state 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday with family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. and her funeral will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, all at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery following the service.

Dear sorority sister, Nancy, so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you at this time. It is hard to lose your mother. I lost mine mother, Yvonne, 43 years ago and still think of her everyday. She is also buried at the same cementery. Hope all is well with you and your family.

Nancy, I am so sorry to hear this news. The pain of losing a parent really is indescribable. I am so sorry you have to go through it all. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I pray that God’s peace and love will surround you like a warm hug and give you the strength and endurance you will need at the right time you need it.
