Carol Bowlin

Carol Ann (Horn) Bowlin was born January 5, 1938 in Haleyville, OK to George & Jewell (Spears) Horn and passed from this life on December 20, 2012 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 74.

Carol had a wonderful dry sense of humor that could bring you to tears from laughter or make you think. You didn't mess with her friends or family lest you endured the wrath of Carol. She was very loyal to family and friends. She loved to travel on the bus tours in and around Oklahoma and the surrounding states. She enjoyed her traveling buddies. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and received many certificates and accommodations from the Tulsa Police Department for appreciation, going above and beyond, attendance, etc. She loved working with her friends at the police department for 30 years. She enjoyed the monthly luncheons after retirement to keep in touch. Her family was her joy. She felt she needed no hobbies because her family was her finest accomplishment. She loved spending time with them and loved them all very much.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl Eugene Bowlin; her daughters, Valorie Kay Arthur, Rebecca Sue Arthur and Deborah Lea Bowlin; and her brother, George Horn. She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Ann Breedlove; her sisters-in-law, Eva Horn, Donna Barnes and Bonnie Bowlin; her brother-in-law, George Bowlin; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Carol will lie in state 10:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday with her funeral being held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, both at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside committal will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park where she will be laid to rest.
