Burte J. Banks, Jr.

I am so sorry for your loss. Burte was one of the most amazing men I knew. Never saw him frown. It was a pleasure having the opportunity to work with him at Coldwell Banker Select. You all will be in my prayers.

I worked with Burte for many years and I never remember him ever having a bad day. He was always positive and kind. I enjoyed our years working together at American Airlines (AA). I not only remember Burte for his positive outlook on life but his kind heart and his contagious smile. He remembered my birthday every year, even after he wasn't working for AA/SABRE. Although it made me feel special that he remembered "my" birthday, he remembered everyone's birthday. He continued to stay in touch for many years as he worked for Caldwell Banker and sent me calendars. Burte will always be remembered because of the goodness he brought to others. What a blessing to me to have known such a great guy. Burte will be missed and my birthdays will not be the same without his wishes being sent to me anymore. I met Burte early in my marriage to Billy Joe Johnson, now deceased. We had a special friendship as young marrieds and had some fun times. Billy Joe and Burte knew each other from kindergarten and were friends throughout college and in the Okla. ANG. What a wonderful gentleman Burte was and I will miss his yearly phone calls on my birthday.

A true gentleman in every sense of the word. Burte was my REALTOR when I moved to Tulsa 15+ years ago and the relationship was instant. He never failed to let people know how he felt about them and I will forever cherish the special notecards that he sent and will miss his Hugs! (they were the best!!) The tears are for the loss in our real estate community, but there is absolutely NO doubt in any of our minds that this incredible man is smiling down upon each of us. A special thank you to Burtes entire family for sharing him with each of us. We are all better people for having known him.

You have always been one of my dearest friends. Back to Boy Scout days, Will Rogers, TU, Kappa Sigma, TU Alumni, TU Heritage Committee, Real Estate selling my houses. Everyone loved you especially our classmates. We always had a great time together! You will be missed and always remembered!

You are my hero! Thanks for being such a good brother and good man. I know you are rejoicing with Jesus and mom and dad. Rest in peace.

Vicki, Keith, Kim, Erik: You know we loved him, too. Although a cousin, he was like an older brother to me and my memories flood back to many of the wonderful, happy times our families had together over all those years. I (Betty) will miss him so very much. May your memories sustain and comfort you as well.

Erik and family, I am so sorry hear about the loss of your dad. I hope that time and happy memories of Burte will help heal you all. We love you Erik, Laura
