Bobby York

Bobby Gene "Pete" York was born August 24, 1931 in Vera, Oklahoma the son of George and Ollie (Booker) York. He completed this life on Sunday, October 31, 2010 at the age of 79.

Pete was currently working as a shop superintendent for York Plumbing Company. He was a retired district supervisor for Hudson Oil Co.. He was a fixture on the local dirt track auto racing scene for over 50 years, 30 as a driver and the last 20 years helping his two sons.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Deloris (Hill) York, his daughter, Rhonda Leathers, his sisters, Trudy Van Horn and Edna Weeks. He is survived by his daughters, Paulette Foster and her husband Richard of Broken Arrow and Debbie McCage and her husband Jeff of Tulsa; his sons, Bobby G. York, Jr. and his wife Vickie of Sperry and Mike York and his wife Tonya of Tulsa; his step-son Bill Bristol and his wife Ruby of Tulsa; 14 Grandchildren and 20 great Grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 4th at the Floral Haven cemetery.
