Blanche Josephine Waken Richards was born June 20, 1913 in Enid, Oklahoma the daughter of John Kameel and Fadwa (Nicholas) Waken. She completed this life on Wednesday, June 11, 2012 at the Forest Hills Health Care Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
Blanche married Phil Richards. They moved to Port Arthur, Texas where they made their home. She worked as a secretary in the Port Arthur Public Schools.
She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Richards Webb and her husband Harris of Tulsa, OK; her Grandchildren Tracy Earls and Brad Webb; her great Grandchildren Luke and Owen Earls and Abby and Jake Webb; her sisters, Julie Thedford and Jeanette Chaplin both of Beaumont, Texas; Rose Waken of California; her brother, John Waken of California.
A memorial mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday in St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church, 4001 E. 101st in Tulsa.
