Bill R. Sparks was born December 30, 1932 in Amarillo, TX to Alan D. and Myrtle Ruth (Hulsey) Sparks. He passed from this life Monday, April 17, 2006 at the age of 73.
Bill was a graduate of Dumas, TX High School. He married Patricia Riley on June 11, 1976. He worked in the Oil & Gas industry for over 55 years and was a drilling fluid engineer.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, A.J. Sparks; a sister, Betty Stevens; and, a grandson, Robbie Willmeth. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Pat Sparks; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie Jester, Kim and Jess Roach, Rene' and Mark Scribner, Kim and Randy Kimbrough, Brandi and Jim Bell; son, Bruce Sparks; sister and brother-in-law, Jo and Earl Hatfield; brothers and sisters-in-law, Butch and Nancy Sparks, Larry and Sherry Sparks; grandchildren, Sunni Sparks, Spencer and Bailey Roach, Jordan, Connor and Chloe Scribner and Taryn and Mackenzie Kimbrough; great grandchild, "Lil D" Sparks Narlock.
A memorial service was held 2:00PM Wednesday at Pryor First United Methodist Church, Pryor Creek, OK.
