Beverly Ashworth

Beverly Ashworth was born on March 29, 1930 in Tulsa, OK, to Rev. Leo and Hazel (Wiggins) Swicegood. Beverly passed from this life at her home on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the age of 82, surrounded by her family.

Beverly was a graduate of Okmulgee High School and attended the University of Tulsa studying music. She enjoyed a longtime career teaching private piano and served as a pianist and organist for several local churches.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert Lee Ashworth; a son, Ray Brisco, Jr.; a granddaughter, Denise Yanish and a brother-in-law, C. W. VanDolsen. Beverly is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Marian Ashworth, of the home; a sister, Cozetta VanDolsen, of Springfield, MO; 4 grandchildren, Kristen Wright and her husband, Josh, Cole Yanish, Zach Ashworth and Haley Ashworth; 4 great grandchildren, Billie Yanish, Edward Yanish, Cohen Wright and Connor Wright; a nephew and his family, Rev. Warren VanDolsen and his wife, Laura and their children, Aaron and Olivia VanDolsen.
