Betty Hamby

Betty Jean (Breeding) Hamby was born November 19, 1925 in Bristow, OK to Kelly & Agnes (Baker) Breeding and passed from this life October 27, 2011 at the age of 85.

Betty liked to bowl, she loved her football games and baseball games, especially the St. Louis Cardinals! She loved to cook and has taught her granddaughters to be good cooks. Everyone who was a friend or neighbor has had her banana nut bread! She loved to play Skip-Bo and taught everyone in the family and friends how to play but she still won.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all.

Preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 56 years, Vivian L. Hamby; Betty is survived by her daughter, Julie Ann Hainline of Copan, OK; her sons and daughter-in-law, Larry & Karen Hamby of Terlton, OK and David Lee Hamby of Phoenix, AZ; her sister, Reba Harding of Blackburn, OK; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Betty will lie in state 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens where she will be laid to rest.
