Barbara Swanson

Barbara Swanson was born April 11, 1925 in Tulsa to Harvey and Della Jane (Drury) Leonard. She passed from this life Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at the age of 82. She was graduated from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa and received her Bachelor's of Art degree from North Texas State University in Denton, TX, where she was also crowned "Beauty Queen." As a young lady, Barbara volunteered for many years at the Tulsa Boy's Home and also enjoyed competing in golf, tennis and Bridge. Barbara was very active as a businesswoman in Tulsa, working for many years as a realtor with McGraw Realtors and Patterson Realtors. Barbara is survived by her 102 year old mother, Della Huls; daughters and son-in-law, Cindy and Frank Wilcox of Tulsa and Susan Swanson of West Newbury, MA; and, her four grandchildren, Chad Wilcox and his wife, Pren, of Telluride, CO, Tyler Moore and her husband, Travis, of Skiatook, OK, Bobby and Ryan Spellman, both West Newbury, MA. A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Ninde Brookside Chapel; valet parking provided. 918-742-5556
