Ashley Eby

Ashley Hagar Eby, was born July 11, 1922 in Stillwater, OK to William Edgar and Pearl Emiline (Strohben) Hagar. She passed from this life January 13, 2007 at her home following a lengthy illness.

She lived much of her life in Tulsa and Neosho, MO. She was a 1940 graduate of Tulsa Central High School and attended the University of Tulsa. Ashley worked many years as a bookkeeper and, after her retirement, served as a deputy sheriff in Newton County, MO. She was a past member of Oklahoma Motor Maids and long term volunteer at George Washington Carver National Monument.

She was preceded in death by her son Eric A. Eby in May of 2006. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Wolters Bedell Eby, Major USAF retired; her daughter, Jessica Stowell and her husband Fred of Tulsa; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Eby; three grandchildren, Christopher Beleele of Portland Oregon, Staff Sgt. Benjamin Beleele of Ft. Knox, KY, and Valerie Eby of Ft. Collins, CO and a great granddaughter, Cassidy Beleele.

Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at St. John's Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society are appreciated.
