Anne Mobley

Anne Elizabeth Mobley was born October 24, 1938 in Little Rock, AR to James Goddard and Mary Ruth (Montgomery) Jarvis. Anne passed from this life on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 leaving behind her much cherished family and many dear friends.

She attended Texarkana, TX High School and was graduated from William Woods College in 1958 and then the University of Arkansas in January 1960. Anne moved to Tulsa to teach kindergarten where she met and married, Roger Mobley in 1960. They had four beautiful daughters. She spent her whole life loving her family; she loved children.

Anne had a lifetime love of ballet and worked with the Tulsa Ballet Theater for many years. She taught Sunday school at First Presbyterian Church and spent many years working with families at Kathleen's Kids and Children's Collection. She was active in many community organizations including Tulsa Assistance League, Children's Hospital and Compassionate Friends.

In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by a daughter, Genia and a grandson, Trey Shrewder. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Roger; her daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Jay Shrewder, Amy and Joe Stoeppelwerth, all of Tulsa, Rebecca and David Dillon of Dallas, TX; eight grandchildren, Taylor and Alex Shrewder, Eliza, Emily and Phoebe Stoeppelwerth, Meg, Mary Kate and Millie Dillon. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Bill Staton of Hot Springs, AR as well as many close friends.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2012 at Memorial Park Cemetery, followed by a 3:00 p.m. memorial service at First Presbyterian Church, 709 S. Boston Avenue. Following the memorial service, the family invites friends to an open house at 2216 E. 24th Street.
