Ann Harper Hammack
Obituary
Emma Ann Hammack was born on January 19, 1945 in Ft. Smith, AR to Duane Simon Harper and Hazel Modene (Merrill) Harper. Ann passed from this life on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at the age of 72.
Ann was a longtime resident of Sperry and was a graduate of Sperry High School. She worked as an executive secretary for Adams and Leonard Realty for several years before working as the executive secretary for the Tulsa Executives’ Association until her retirement. Ann was a highly decorated representative of the Professional Secretaries International. She was a longtime member of Community of Christ Church where she was a faithful member of the choir.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Guynn R. Hammack in 2008 after 26 years of marriage. She is survived by her step children, Lee Ann Roth and her husband, Roger, John Hammack and his wife, Heidi; her sister, Irene Rowden and her husband, Jack; her nephew, Duane Rowden and his wife, Charlotte; her niece, Dena Rowden and her grandchildren, Royal, Riley, Reid, Lukas and Jacob.

Dear Hammack family. I am so sorry to have read of the death of Ann. Please accept my sincere condolences. I would like to share something that I have personally found to be comforting. It is found in the Bible at John 5:28, 29 and Revelation 21:4. These verses tell us that soon God is going to bring about a resurrection of our dear loved ones as well as do away with all causes we have for suffering, including sickness and death. Knowing this has always comforted me and it is my hope that these thoughts will comfort your family also.

Ann is a cousin, I am the oldest daughter of Bill Harper & Martha Thrutchley. When we were young we would visit Uncle Duane and Aunt Hazel, Irene and Ann and I remember having such good times. I knew Ann through PSI and IAAP and we worked on several projects and traveled some together. She was very well respected. I enjoyed being around Ann with her creative mind and great laughter. There was hardly anything she couldn't pull off. I miss those days and will miss her.
