Andrew Conner Seneker

We pause to remember our friend and fellow Scout Andrew Seneker who has gone home from the trail ahead of us. Thank you for the light you shared, for your laughter, service, and friendship. May your campfire burn brightly in our memories. Though the path feels quieter without you, we know your gentle spirit walks beside us still. Soar high Andrew.

A hard worker and great teammate. A good man gone too soon.

I met Andrew in 2019 in Philadelphia when Cybil invited me over to make pizza with them. He must of been only a freshman or sophomore in high school at the time. He was quiet, but very polite. I knew how polite he was when he ate the awful pizza we made, one plain and one mortadella, he didn’t say anything negative, he just said “Oh, this one’s good” when having the latter. This felt like the largest of small victories. What felt like an ordinary pleasant hangout then now feels like a precious gift that appreciates in value over time. It is a wonderful thing to meet someone before they fully become who they are. The last time I saw Cybil I asked about Andrew and her face lit up as she talked about him working to become a pilot. I couldn’t help but be amazed that the shy boy I met turned out to be so brave and hard working. This feeling was doubled down when she spoke of his activity in his community, his church, overcoming obstacles through school and how above and beyond he went in the pursuit of becoming a pilot. Thank you to Cybil for sharing a sliver of Andrew with me, and thank you Jason and Amelie Seneker for an outstanding job in raising your children. I hope in these hard times you can find comfort in knowing that through your hard work and instilling your values in Andrew and Cybil you have made the world a better place for many many people in various degrees, and that it will only grow as more people learn of Andrew and how he lived his life, as well as Cybil’s actions and relationships she cultivates.

I took a coding class with him at BK, and a couple others classes, we would have fun talking to each other about each other’s interests. When we graduated he told me he would send a video of him destroying his chrome book which I thought was funny. I didn’t hang out with him that much but I didn’t realize till I knew he was gone that I really am glad I got to be with such an amazing person.

I had the pleasure of meeting Andrew during my freshman year. We shared the same floor and side of Noren Hall. My first time meeting him I thought to myself, what a beautiful man. I would then learn he was far more than that. The first week after I learned he built computers I asked him if he could help me with an issue with my computer. He helped me, no jive, no jest, just a guy helping me with a smile on his face. Later in the year, I ended up finding out that Andrew was also an Eagle Scout, I then asked him about his project, and he told me all about it. Bike trailers are what I believe he called them, to help the homeless community and others transport their belongings. He told me how redeeming it was to drive around and see his project being used for the people in the city he made them for. The amount of kindness in his eyes and the empathy that he showed while telling me about it still resonates with me to this day. That was when I learned the type of man Andrew was. I had the pleasure of taking a smaller class with Andrew after our freshman year, English 130. I thought that class was going to be an absolute slog, but as I walked in the door, I saw that familiar face. He invited me to sit next to him with a smile so that's where I parked myself for the next semester. This prompted quite a few moments of small talk between us, which led to the next conversation I had. I asked him about his favorite book; he pondered for a bit and then gave me an answer. The Greatest Salesman in the World by Og Mandino. I asked him if he could help me find it on audible so I could listen to it at work, and per usual he smiled and said “of course”. The book talks about the virtues of love and personal growth. “True wealth is of the heart, not the purse” “I will greet this day with love in my heart” “I will love the light because it shows me the way; I will endure the darkness because it shows me the stars” The book makes complete sense for who Andrew was, he was the best of man. His empathy, his patience, and his helping nature towards people he didn’t know show his true character. Every time I saw him around, usually at the Wellness Center, we always had a conversation on what's new, always with smiles. It feels like yesterday when I was congratulating him on getting the job at UND as a CFI. He smiled as always and thanked me, and we said our farewells as usual. Andrew taught me many things on how to be a better person even if he didn’t know. I always looked up to him because I wanted to be more like him. When I get older if I am blessed enough to have children, having a son half as good as the man Andrew was would fill my heart with joy. Andrew’s legacy will forever live on in the deeds he has done, and the hearts he has touched.

I knew Andrew from St. Pius. I was a shy kid and joined running club in the grade. I was never very fast, Andrew was always at the front. One day Andrew came up behind me and started running with me. He was always encouraging me everyday and just being that light in my life. When I stopped he stopped he never left me behind. That was the kind of man he was. We continued to run together throughout high school and he never stopped encouraging me. He was there for my wins and losses always ready to offer up a hug. I will forever miss that smile, his words, and how great of a person he was and is. We will forever love you Andrew and we will keep living for you.

Andrew entered our lives in 2022 when he began dating our daughter, Taylor, at UND. Leaving home for college was difficult for Taylor, but as time passed, she began looking forward to spending time with Andrew, the boy next door in Noren Hall. Before long, Andrew became part of our family—joining us for holidays, a vacation, or simply spending time with us on his way home to Tulsa. We were able to see Taylor’s love for Andrew firsthand, and since his passing, watching videos of the many adventures, joy, silliness, and happiness they shared, reminds us of their special bond and what was lost. We have never heard Taylor laugh the way she did with Andrew! We are blessed that he entered Taylor’s life and ours, and we truly consider him part of our family. Hearing of Andrew’s passing broke our hearts—for his family, his friends, his classmates, his colleagues, and for our daughter. Andrew was truly loved, and we will miss him more than words can ever express.

My family had the pleasure of getting to know Andrew through his girlfriend, Taylor, and through Saint Michael's Catholic Church. It was a blessing to have Andrew and Taylor attend the baptism of our three children. We appreciate that a solid Catholic gentleman was present to share in this memory with us. We were able to see the great potential he had for his career, faith, and what would have been his future family. God bless you Andrew.

Wanting to say how sorry we are to read about Andrew loosing his life. Our hearts break for all of the family and friends. We are parents and can not imagine the pain. Reading about Andrew and his accomplishments let us know he was a great young man. We are so very sorry and pray the Lord holds all of tightly until you see him again. Sincerely, The Calavas

Andrew, I still remember how excited you were about your new position, and I know you would have been amazing at it. I wish I had more guts to say that you were the most genuine person I met at this school. You always felt like a younger brother to me. When you told me you got the position and suggested we go flying together, you have no idea how happy that made me feel. It has been an honor to work with you and to be your friend. Thank you for everything you’ve done, and I hope I was a good friend to you as well. I hope you’re at peace, and I hope to see you again someday. Love you brother.

Andrew was the type of student every teacher loved. He was respectful, curious and loved to learn. A gentle smile and a twinkle in his eye will always be a reminder to me of who he was. Fly high, dear Andrew.

I knew Andrew from Aerobatics, our shared meteorology class last semester that we struggled together through, and lastly as a fellow officer in AESOP. We’ve had so many shared laughs and memories and he was truly a bright, giving and brilliant person. This photo is from our last AESOP event together. I have known Andrew since he first took my Meteorology class at UND in Fall 2022, and he recently completed another class with me last Fall 2025. I am absolutely heartbroken to hear this. Andrew was an incredible student, always asking insightful questions, actually wanting to learn, and was a regular in office hours. Wishing his family peace in this time <3

I sat with Andrew and his family at the Aviation Family Weekend dinner last semester. While I didn’t know him in the slightest, he was incredibly kind, maintaining a thoughtful conversation. Afterwards, despite not being close friends, he would say hi whenever I saw him around campus. He really did make an impact on everyone he met, and I am deeply sorry for his passing.

My deepest condolences to Andrew's family. My son John goes to UND and was on Student Gov with Andrew. Having a son Andrew's age, I can't imagine the pain you are going through. May God give you the strength to get through such a tragedy. Katie Schulzetenberg

I had the privilege of being Andrew's academic advisor. He was a very bright, caring, and all around excellent pilot. The aviation industry lost a good pilot and we lost a light in this world. I want to extend my sincere condolences and prayers to Andrew's family and friends during this difficult time. Thank you for sharing Andrew with us these last few years! He will be missed.

Andrew was a caring, thoughtful individual, and talented pilot. He joined us for IAC Judge’s School and was training to compete with the Team in the future showing great promise.
