Alta Grace Prewett

Alta Grace (Brown) Prewett was born December 6, 1925 in Griggs, OK to Edgar H. & Mary F. (Derrick) Brown and passed from this life on June 23, 2016 at the age of 90.

Upon completion of her schooling Grace became a nurse’s aide and worked for Hillcrest Hospital for eight years. She liked to crochet, quilt and do crossword puzzles. Her passion was her family and her faith as she was a member of Sequoyah Hills Baptist Church since 1967. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Grace is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 47 years, Harold W. Prewett; her numerous siblings; her daughters, Bryda Ellen Prewett and Rebecca Denise Prewett; and her son-in-law, Jim Boyd. She is survived by her daughters, Wanda Prewett, Betty Boyd, Carolyn Prewett, and Sharon Clement & her husband Terry; her grandchildren, Cristy, Michael, Andy & Jamie; and her great grandchildren, Alexis, Luke, Sean, Gavin, Emily, Avery, and Cameron.

Grace will lie in state from 10-8pm Tuesday with family receiving friends from 5-7pm and her funeral service will be held 10:00am Wednesday, all at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home.
