Alberta Archibald

Alberta Frances (Ahrens) Archibald, 85, died at her home on Friday, February 17, 2006. Mrs. Archibald was born November 11, 1920 in Tulsa, Oklahoma the daughter of Walter Henry and Alberta Vivian (Francisco) Ahrens. She graduated from Central High School and attended the University of Tulsa. She was a member of the American Revolution, Delta, Delta Delta, St. John's Episcopal Church and the Oaks Country Club. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Thomas Archibald; her children: Tom and his wife Gloria of Edmond, OK, Walter and his wife Nancy of Lawton, OK, Ann Byrd and her husband Bob of Tulsa and Jane Thomas and her husband Mark of Houston, TX. Nana was cookie baker to 10 grandchilden and 13 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Janie, Ginnie and Michelle of St. Francis Hospice, Bobbie and Santa for their wonderful care. The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to your favorite charity or St. Francis Hospice, Hospice House, 6600 S. Yale, Ste. 350, Tulsa, OK 74136. Friends may call at the Ninde Woodland Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Memorial services will be Wednesday, February 22, 2006 in the St. John Episcopal Church 41st and Atlanta. Inurnment will be in the St. John Urn Garden.
