Adah Guild

Adah Boyd Guild was born July 30, 1916 in Wynnewood, OK to Alvin Belius and Willia Elizabeth (Davis) Herring. She passed from this life Monday, February 27, 2006 at the age of 89.

Adah was a graduate of Oklahoma Women's College and taught Home Economics. She later worked as Book Department Manager for Dillard's Department Store for 20 years. Most recently, Adah was very active at the 5400 Yale Apartments where she loved to join the other ladies playing "Chickenfoot." She enjoyed fishing and was known and loved for her incredibly positive attitude. Adah enjoyed a life-long passion and talent for oil painting.

She was preceded in death by her brother, A.B. Herring who was killed in WWII and in 1983 by her husband of 40 years, Howard Burl Guild. Adah is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Lisa Guild of Tulsa, Howard and Marilyn Guild of San Francisco, CA, Jim and Pat Guild of Houston, TX; sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Kay Herring of Tulsa , Helen and Harry Stockoff of Greenville, TX; grandchildren, Madison, Baylor and Hudson Guild of Tulsa and Haley Guild of San Francisco, CA.
